Excursus on Equipment & Photography : I've included these comments simply because I frequently find that friends who look upon my photos end up asking me about what camera I use. The last time this happened was just days before I decided to write this; and before that, less than a week earlier. So I decided I'd jot down a few thoughts and next time it happens, I'd refer the person to this gallery. That's all.

A fascination for what makes something beautiful, whether it be in nature or art, drives my own explorations into photography, graphic design, and music. This website is slowly expanding as I find the time (however seldom) to shoot more and prepare additional galleries.

Most galleries are open to the public. "Locked" galleries usually involve portraiture or "client" related images and require a password. (If you forget it or want copies of pictures, just email me.)

Originally, this site also housed our family photographs, but the number of galleries became so large that it was difficult to manage. Moreover, I needed a site that would allow photos related to charity auctions, private portraiture, and other projects to be easily navigated and accessed.

Family related photographs can now be found at http://aaronphotoarchive.smugmug.com.

My most ambitious photographic project at this time is the restoration of hundreds of family photographs, the most precious being portraits from Germany taken between the late 1860s and 1939. These are now all housed at http://aaronphotoarchive.smugmug.com. This project will take many years to complete.

Enjoy the photographs. Feel free to contact me at dha@dhaimages.com.
